La Casa di Petra was once a farmhouse.
It was carefully rebuilt between 2006 and 2008 using the original bricks and roofing material. Approx. 20 meters southeast of the main house, a second structure was converted into an apartmenthouse which available in 2009 with the apartments Il Gufo, L'Olivo and L'Oleandro.
All apartments are luxuriously furnished and equipped and are located in a quiet spot right above an extensive vineyard. The large garden of about 6000 sq.metres consists of olive, fig, and fruit trees and is available to guests as well as a herbal garden and the grill place with alpin style table/stiitingbank.
The property is situated close to Ripatransone (at 270 m above sea-level) with panoramic view to Massignano, Ripatransone, Montefiore dell'Aso and into the vineyards. In the back area of the province Ascoli Piceno the national reserves of the Gran Sasso and Monti Sibillini with their lakes are easily accessible.
The region Le Marche, originating from the former Papal State, borders in the east on the Adriatic Sea,
in the west on Umbria, Lazio and Tuscany, in the south on Abruzzo and in the north on Emilia Romagna and San Marino.
Being largely unaffected by mass tourism, Le Marche is the place to experience something very special in Middle-Italy!
Adriatic Sea, mountains, nature reserves, history, culure, wildlife, as well as pasta, truffle, vino rosso and gelati!
In the west Le Marche is mountainous with the highest peak Mt. Vettore (2475m) in the Monti Sibillini. Two national parks and nature reserves,
four regional parks comprise about 10% of the entire region and are protected areas. Olives, fruit, and various grains grow well here and the southern part is known for its viticulture.
The coastal stretch of 180 km between Pesaro and San Benedetto del Tronto offers long sand and gravel beaches as well as rocky cliffs (Riviera del Conero near Ancona). Of particular interest in the Grottammare area is the ”Riviera delle Palme” (15 min. by car) with thousands of palm trees.
Pesaro, Ascoli Piceno, Macerata with their museums and picture galleries are well known beyond the borders. Loreto, famous papal pilgrimage town also to be mentioned, as well as Ancona, capital and largest harbor with ferry connections throughout the Adriatic Sea and San Benedetto del Tronto, largest fishing harbour.
La Casa di Petra is putting up the outstanding prerequisites for a quiet, looked after, or experiencefull bathing-, trekking-, or cultural vacation in the province Ascoli Piceno of the southern part of Le Marche.

L'Olivo and L'Oleandro are situated on the ground floor above Il Gufo providing on 32 sq.metres each:
